Love the image of perfect imperfection, and giving ourselves (and others) grace. It struck me, though, that there are several references to pastors, but this is applicable to other Christian leaders as well. I serve in Member Care for an overseas missions agency; I interact with field leaders all the time. It would be helpful to include others serving in leadership outside of the traditional pastoral role. Thanks!

Could not agree more!! This the needle we are trying to thread. I am experiencing the threading of this needle in our choice to record a special podcast version of Stations of the Cross. this was something we already had that God guided us to offer in a slightly new way. It was natural, organic, and not too much. There is a lot we are choosing not to do and this is something we knew was ours to do. It’s a subtle knowing but when it’s right, you know it. Thank you for articulating this fine nuance that is so important!

I was touched that you mentioned psalm 121.
This psalm brought me great comfort when I went through some dark night in the last year

Although I do want to name that I see some invitation to creativity and courageous innovation that seems Spirit led. Creativity can stir energy. Perhaps the caution you offer is to stay aligned, not fall behind the Spirit but not run ahead. Gentle blessings.
