Most Gracious and Loving Father, I again come to Your throne seeking Your help for our nation as we head to the polls to determine who will lead our nation.  Grant that we find a way back to being more closely truly the “united states” of America.  So, Lord, I cry out to You that it will be Your sovereign will for our nation to elect the candidates of whom will be the men and women who will be as per Your word, “A (person) of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a (person) of understanding is even-tempered.” (Proverbs 17:27 NIV) Please Lord involve Yourself in the affairs of what’s occurring in our nation right now.  For the sake of the faithful remnant who sincerely desires that we be that nation wherein our righteousness exalts us as we endeavor to abandon sin that is a condemns as per Proverbs 15:34.
