This article has inspired me to dust off Robert Mulholland’s The Deeper Journey from the shelf and read it through a fresh lens. Thank you for the 12-part video series on the book on your website—it’s been incredibly helpful.

In the first chapter, “The Goal,” Mulholland emphasizes that the true aim of spiritual formation is not merely Christlikeness, but a loving union with Christ, from which Christlikeness naturally flows. This provides a solid theological foundation for spiritual growth. I love how it reframes the journey.
